My goodness, everyday on here there are so many racist comments from all races.. white talking about blacks, black talking about whites, latins, and so on .. Are we really this racist off the computer or is just for Y!Answers? Its scary. Do people act and harbor these views in real life. I hope not. Its 2007 America

People are racist in their own ways, but i do understand your pain, we all have the same parts, lungs, brains, hearts, feelings, etc. . . why cant everyone get along and leave people alone. I have three races in my blood that have suffered because of the idiocy of humanity blaming others different from themselves. . . . They are Irish, Cherokee, and Porto Rican. . . . Since I have multiple races i could be discriminated even from the people that have the full blooded version of it. This world needs to stop hating each other.

i'd guesstimate that the ratio of racists in real life to those on Y!A is pretty even-up. What we may be witnessing here is that the anonimity of Y!A serves as a vehicle for spewing racist garbage with little fear of reprisal. in other words, agressive cowardice.

It is very annoying! I think that many people are racist, but the fact that no one can see them as they're hding behind their computers makes it that much more sad.
There are a number of people (such as Buck Silvaback) who pretend to be of another race just to spread ignorance and stereotypes.

Ignore them. Do not give them the attention that they crave.
In my experience, most people here are pretty cool.
Most of the jerks are silly little kids trying to get a rise out of people.

YES Prejudice is fear of what is unknown or misunderstood. Worse yet, many are not conscious of their racism. It spills out because they never examined it.
