It was 4 years ago, i was 12 and it was new years eve.It was around 2 am & everyone had gone to bed.I was still awake lying on the floor watching mtv music videos.My 25 year old cousin was on the couch right by me.All of a sudden I felt him reach down & unzip my pants.i didn't know what to do so I just sat there.I sat there whille he felt up & down my privates.He did that for a while & then he started going up my shirt.I finally rolled over & he stopped for a while.Like a half hour later I got up & sat on the far side of the room.I was still awake & I saw him come over near me again & sat rightby thecouch.he started talking to me about the music.Then he started unzipping my pants in the middle of our conversation.I made up an excuse & said i had to go pee.He was like o ok & then he stopped for the rest of the night.I've only told a few of my friends but noone in my family knows.My cousin has a kid now & is engaged.I really wanna tell someone but it will ruin his life. Advice please!!!

Tell your family! If he did it to you he will probably do it to his kids! Your family has a right to know...they need to protect their little kids from this guy. Also you can still press charges because it happened when you were a child.

you did nothing wrong. I understand how you feel about ruining his life, but what he did has disrupted yours and he could very well hurt another young persons life too. It's a lot of pressure for anyone to "tell" on another, especially a family member, along with the fear that others might not believe your telling the truth. Councilors in school or a teen hot line are able to deal with how to proceed in a situation like this, talk to someone about it, don't hold it in any longer.

Sweetie, he put you in a situation that you did not know how to handle. It is not at all your fault and he was way too old to behave that way. You should tell your parents, or an adult that you trust. You should not worry about him, he chose to da that to you, he is an adult and was at the time and knows full well what happens to men who do this. If not for you, think of his baby....the child might be his next innocent victim. I hope you can find the strength...I am so sorry for what he did.

What he did to you is never acceptable. You should tell a family member ASAP. I know you are afraid that it will ruin his life if you tell someone but just think of who else he could have done this to. You need to tell someone in your family so that the proper action can be taken so he does not harm anyone else.

OK SERIOUSLY THIS WONT RUIN UR LIFE IT WILL ACTUALLY HELP U. THATS SERIUOSLY SICK OF UR OWN COUSIN TO DO THAT AND HE NEEDS HELP. iF U HAVE A REAL CLOSE REALATIONSHHIP WTH SOMEONE IN UR FAMMILY THEN I REALLY ADVISE U 2 LET THEM KNOW (AN ADULT OF COURSE). he U DONT TELL ANYONE HE WILL EVENTUALLY THINK HE CAN DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
