Are you referring to Versace? Like the last name of the clothing designer? Absolutely NO.

Marques...is that name invented by you?

He will definitely have a problem with schools and other government offices. They will have no idea how to pronounce or even spell his name. None of those names exist with that spelling.

If you must name your son after a designer, please spell correctly: Versace.

As for Mar-Cuse, you could use Marquis (MAR-kwis) or (mar-KEE), or Marcus, (MAR-cuss) a typical mans name.

Otherwise, just choose a normal name that can actually be spelled by humans.

I don't understand the mass trend of naming a child a "unique" name (Apple, Suri, Moses, Coco, etc). I feel that in the long run, the child will end up hating his name and/or changing it.
I like the idea of a traditional name, easy to pronounce, easy to spell, and isn't based on a fad or thought of while high.

That name might be cool for you but think of the kid when he goes to school. Hopefully he'll be famous so that name is acceptable. Of course, if you live in France or Italy, then it's ok....good luck!

The first name sounds like Versace, which is a clothing line.

It's a mumbled mouthful, hon.
Give him a name he will wear with pride for his whole life.

Children live up to the names we give them.
Good luck.

Ghastly. Just ghastly. You are sentencing your child to a lifetime of teasing and unhappiness.

i really don't want to sound rude since it is your sons' name and all, but unless you live in france, the poor baby boy is going to go through all of his life getting his name mispronounced and misspelled- but it does sound nice.

I think some day he's going to hate you for giving him such a difficult and gay sounding name.
