It seems to me she is getting more media coverage than all 3 put together but what did she do so great to deserve suchprestige? James Brown made music history, johnny Cochran was one of the most brilliant attorneys ever and Ed Bradley was a great journalist! These people all contributed positively to American society but were black and what did Anna nicole Smith contribute to our society with all of her wealth? Yet the media will not stop talking about her. mmmmmm I wonder if America values all of its citizens regardless of race? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!

James Brown got lots of press for being a wife beater. Just because Johnny Cockroach [with help from several other attorneys] put OJ back on the streets after butchering two people, doesn't make him 'one of the most brilliant attorneys ever'.
As for Ed Bradley, who cares?
I guess the media just thinks Anna Nicole generates more interest with the public.

She doesn't receive more attention than Michael Jackson or O. J. Simpson or Oprah Winfrey have. The people you have mentioned are not exciting in the personal lives. Plain and simple

Because America loves Dirt!! And she had more dirt and dirty little ways about her than the other guys--which makes her more desire able for people to notice! and of course she was a doper--so the more dirt--the more they love ya!! She was famous for taking the old mans money for crying out loud, she did'nt know who her baby daddy was, her son just died of drugs, her mom hates her---there is alot of dirt to find out!!! people live for this stuff---sad but true

Well, you pretty much answered this one and I agree. I also think it has to do with the amount of money she was worth if that makes you feel any better. Still isnt right. I hate the media.
