I'm not going to do any 20 day beauty regimes, or spend any time at the LANCOME counter to work on this. But there must be some true home remedies to help besides OLIVE OIL, CUCUMBERS, AND TEA BAGS. Look foreward to your answers.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

What's wrong with cucumbers? If you're not going to try any of those things, you're kind of screwed. You sound kind of lazy, or is it just that you don't want to seem feminine? Either way, I'm telling you cubumbers and tea bags are the way to go, my friend. You may be able to find an eye cream that you put on before bed that works, though I've never known one, too. Good luck.

When I taught school, I learned that puffy, dark circles under the eyes could be a sign of allergies. If the allergies aren't treated, it makes sleeping at night difficult and even though you are asleep, you're not resting. Get an allergy test.

The blogbaba has bags under the bags under his eyes, so I don't know if this advice is valid or not, I never tried to get rid of them because I"m trying to age as gracefully as I can.

I heard somewhere preparation H works for a cosmetic couple of hours. Good luck with that one, I'm not secure enough to actually try it.

I have the same problem...Im not a dermatologist but i actually noticed an improvement after i started using face lotion which can be found anywhere, usually with the face wash. (just make sure you get the lotion for your skin type...you can get it for oily or dry skin etc.)
Ive also heard that it is a product of our skin loosing elasticity and holding excess fluids!? Like i said, im not a dermatologist but vitamin C helps you body form collagen to repair this. So, try taking vitamin C.

Sleep with your head slightly more elevated than the rest of your body, gently massage around your eyes with a little bit of lotion (don't get it IN your eyes) going in towards the nose over the eye and back in toward the nose, lay off booze, get enough sleep. I've also heard putting hemorrhoid cream on them makes them go away, but putting butt cream on my eyes just doesn't appeal to me. =)

Preparation-H for the puffiness, and coco butter for any blemishes. Also, I've heard that it could be a tale-tale sign of kidney problems. Look that up on Healtcentral.com to be sure.
