NBC will air the final episode next Monday (February 19). It was a brilliant show, where we got to see Hollywood take a satirical look at itself. Aaron Sorkin is an excellent writer. Why do dumb shows like "My Name is Earl" get higher ratings than Studio 60? And why do so many people turn the channel after "Heroes?"

It's too brilliant for the average American to understand. Unfortunately, many shows have failed where they shouldn't have (e.g., Arrested Development, Sports Night, Freaks and Geeks). My favorite Studio 60 episode was the one where they thought they had stolen a sketch from another writer, then they found out that they had actually stolen it from themselves because Matt had written it. That was hilarious! It will be sadly missed.

Nooooo - I hope you're wrong about that, I love that show.

I think it's too smart for some people, to be honest. I mean, look at how many people watch American Idol and the like -- that show takes absolutely no talent. Meanwhile, you've got arguably one of the greatest TV writers of all time, a fantastic ensemble cast, and an excellent premise. A shame if it is cancelled.

Because it stopped being about a show within a show and became another romance story like all the rest. the only difference between grey's anatomy and studio 60 is the occupations of the characters. all they had to do was show production of the sketch comedy show and maybe one romance (i prefer danny and jordan) and leave it at that. instead every week it's harriet is dating, matt is jealous, harriet and matt's first kiss, tom lies to the writer chick. I think most of the monday night viewing audience is too old for that crap. I am.

i like Studio 60--probable the final new prepare i've got considered this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. i'm shocked on the lackluster overall performance in scores, yet I generally look at exhibits i truthfully like and anticipate they are doing properly, then they up and get canceled (Joan of Arcadia, Freaks & Geeks, Commander in chief). Oddly, there is an attempt via some communities to truthfully _get_ Studio 60 canceled--interestingly some human beings think of it is offensive to Christians. i think of a few human beings detect a balanced portrayal offensive. besides, new outcomes prepare that mutually as its scores are lackluster on the nighttime of airing, it is the main videotaped prepare on the air--greater human beings are videotaping Studio 60 and observing it later interior the week than the different prepare that's presently airing. i'm uncertain how lots that concerns, provided that advertisers possibly comprehend that maximum individuals do no longer watch the categorized classified ads on videotape, yet i truthfully p.c. this prepare to prevail. So in the event that they flow it to a diverse nighttime or yet over again (and that they probable will), please save up and save observing. And in case you have a 2nd, log directly to the NBC internet web site and tell them how lots you p.c. them to maintain Studio 60 on the air.

It was a great show, but please don't slam My Name is Earl. It's a lot more sophisticated than I expected it to be.
