Here's my previous question if you care to check it out:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070214225432AAxXS0K&r=w

I already know all the history. I'm not looking for a history lesson here or a rant about how bad my ancestors may or may not have treated your ancestors. If you want to answer please answer the following questions:

Would Blacks feel like justice has been done if we send them all back to Africa?

Do you think you would have more opportunities to succeed & thrive over there?

Do you think your quality of life would be better?

This is a sincere question. Sincere answers please.

Hi again Diamond in the Rough.....I'm not the one complaining about being here or how my ancestors got here, neither is my husband. By the way, I never said my husband was Mexican & my ancestors are not from Germany. If you look however you will see that the newest & now most politically correct form of racism is against Hispanics. Everyone telling them to go home - even Blacks - like WE own this land. Only God owns land. We are all here - me, the descendant of a former immigrant; you, the descendant of a former slave; and my husband, a new immigrant only by the grace & mercy of God. We need to be thankful & stop complaining.

I see no one is actually ANSWERING the questions. Dan, thanks, but I've never lived in a trailer in my life or had sex with a family member. I appreciate your concern though.

I am NOT proposing that we send anyone back anywhere! I love the country the way it is. I think we need to leave the Hispanics alone. I think we need to stop living in the past. I think we have much more making up to do with the Native Americans who were treated WORSE than the slaves EVER were and yet are still living on reservations. I hate the injustices that were done but I can't fix them & neither can anyone here. We need to live together in peace & quit griping & complaining about what happened in the past. I posted this question based on a previous answer I received from a BLACK woman on my other question. This is NOT my own personal "plan of action" to fix the world as we know it.

Diamond in the Rough....Thanks but I don't believe in luck.

btw, Ashley, I suppose I COULD be wrong, but from looking at your picture I'm struggling to believe you ever heard your own grandmother sitting by the fire telling the lovely tale of how her brother got strung up & pissed on by Whites too. I never did anything like that to anyone & I don't know anyone else who did either. It's wrong to try to punish Whites for all the sins the White people ever committed in the past. By doing so we keep racism alive & well. What benefit does that story have to anyone? It stirs up feelings of hate, resentment & bitterness to all who hear it. How does that make the world a better place? How does it enrich the lives of the people who hear it?

OK guys....this one is RICH....check out "Just Ask Ashley" who answered my question and reams me for daring to point out a social epidemic. He calls me racist. Why don't you guys go check out his answers bashing ALL WOMEN (question regarding glory holes) and Native Americans (question about what Native Americans believe in ) THEN come back and tell me who you believe the racist one is....and let's now add SEXIST on top of that.

You're not a racist unless you think soneone's ethinicity makes them inferior to you.

Unfortunately many non-caucasians play the racist card when someone asks the tough questions and they question the askers motives. Indeed the many injustices that have occured over the years have left deep wounds but I like to think its getting better.

It's a shame that so many people just want to get "paid". Even though they were never slaves. The people whose money they want never enslaved them. While there is certainly a degree of racism in our society as a whole. The opportunities are there for anyone who wants to take advantage of them. The "entitlement" attitude just as shameful as the racism.

I already know all the history. I'm not looking for a history lesson here or a rant about how bad my ancestors may or may not have treated your ancestors.

***Firstly, no one really knows all of the history so you may want to continue educating yourself in that area. Generally history has been a one-sided story.

Would Blacks feel like justice has been done if we send them all back to Africa?

***I'm not sure who the 'we' is that you are referring to but it does infer that you believe collectively your 'group' has the power to do this to the black community or any other group. To answer this question, you can only 'send something back' to a place if it was there to begin with.

Do you think you would have more opportunities to succeed & thrive over there?
***Whether people would have more opportunities to succeed and thrive in Africa is a hypothetical question we will not be truly able to answer. However, because colonialism has done the same things to African communities in Africa as it has to Native Americans and other groups of people who have been exploited I would guess probably not. However Louis Farrakhan seems to think it is possible so you may want to research his views to see how it can be done. You may consider becoming a supporter of his to make those efforts fruitful as it seems this is an issue you are very concerned about.

Do you think your quality of life would be better?
****If you are asking me personally about my quality of life... I am very satisfied with the quality of life I have created for myself. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me as I continue to build upon my success.

Finally, I did read your previous post and I agree with quite a bit of what you have to say. There definitely is a degradation of the family unit in the African American community. However this can be said for the entire culture of the US. If you look at the statistics I have highlitghted below US is #1 in divorce. If you honestly believe that African Americans are the only group that lack familiy values and the never marry, who does that leave to contribute to the high divorce rates in our country?

Also poverty is a high contributor to a lot of the problems you mentioned; they are prevalent in all poverty stricken communities whether white or black.

My point is you are only seeing what you choose to because you want to support your biases. You are ignoring just as much as the others you accuse.

As a hispanic man living in the USA I have to wonder if the black people answering this question realize how racist they are to my people. They are right there along with whites yelling at me to go home then I see them here complaining about being here and how the slaves were brought here. They must have no idea the dangers many hispanic people face just trying to get here. Our lives are at stake. I know people who have died trying to cross the desert. We don't expect any government handouts when we get here, we just want the chance to work hard and make a better life for ourselves. I pay taxes to help support pay your welfare check but my family members who are here illegally and who pay taxes will never be eligible to receive any government benefits even though they help pay for them. I have been here a long time & I am legal now but I still have to deal with people all the time calling me a wetb@ck and telling me to go home. I risked my life to come here. I spoke no English. I learned for myself & made a life, a family & a home for myself. How many black people here can say they have accomplished all that when they have been here all their lives and I've been here just a few years. I think the opportunities you have are much more than I had and I managed to succeed. If you are living in the barrio or getto as I think you call it, it's because you are too lazy to get out and make a better life for yourself. I am proof of that.

Not so much racist as discriminatory based on religion. They have laws (particularly immigration laws) that are favorable for Jews and not so much for everyone else. Nothing in their constitution though is overtly racist. They are quick to point out that Arabs that practice the Jewish religion are active in their government. Plenty of people who live in Israel would say "yes, but" to that comment and proceed to tell you about discrimination against Arabs that isn't "overt", and honestly, I believe them.

Lincoln actually looked into this possibility but found it to be extremely expensive and unpopular, especially with the slaves.
I think it's a legit question, but extremely insensitive as well. Should we send all the white Europeans back as well? Give the land back to the natives?

Who is the 'we' in your question that would have the constitutional power to ex-communicate African-Americans as American citizens and send them to Africa? I wouldn't say 'back' to Africa because African-Americans have never set foot in Africa in the first place.

Are you Irish-American? How about 'we' send you 'back' to Dublin?

I'm so glad that you have never heard your grandmother tell you of the time when she witnessed her brother get tied to a tree upside down naked, then get spat on, urinated on, then set on fire by men wearing white hoods to hide their faces.

I'm so happy that you come from such a comfortable and pleasant family history. Let's throw you a fcuking party for being born white. What an achievement!

Now why would we want to go back to Africa after all we've done to enrich this country?

There can be no recompense for what white people have done. YOu asking the question leads me to believe that you do not indeed know the history. You must know the white version ... lol.

No, I wasn't born in Africa or raised there

To the rest of you questions, No (how would I know, like I said, Iv never been there)
Its seems that your saying Blacks are complaining, but you ignore (or maybe never have seen/experienced) racism that exist today.

I think someone likes to ride a horse at night, while burning crosses and wearing a white long sheet. Or maybe I was just dreaming, who knows.

Why would you ask a question like that? America is a melting pot of all races. Your ancestors stole it from the Indians it wasn't even whitey's to begin with. That is a loaded racist question and you would not have thought of it if you weren't racist. Go home to your trailer and go have sex with your uncle you inbred.....
