Do we have the technology now?

Nintendo did try to make such a console before. It was called the Virtual boy. It didn't do to very well to my knowledge.

We have better technology now but Nintendo tend to learn from their mistakes. They will not be doing anything like that again until technology has made more advances to make such gaming enjoyable. At the moment, the nintendo Wii is the closest that we will get with home consoles.

When i first bought my PS2 which was over 5 years ago i used to read all the magazines to see what new things would be coming out. I saw in one magazine that sony had developed a pair of "glasses" or googles if you like which would have been like playing the PS2 on a 500 foot screen, they also had in built ear plugs so you would get the surrond sound experience as well. I am unsure as to wether this was ever released in the uk but it shows that if they can do it for the PS2 then the PS3 and Xbox 360 will probably not be far behind in developing these. Also people should not be surprised at the "new" technology that we have coming out these days as i have heard that we are apparently 50 years behind in the technology that the companyies are releasing to the general public.

The next generation? I'd have to say no, because equipment like that is still in testing and such. Maybe in over a decade, but no one sees that coming as of now. Kinda like when people though when the year 2000 came we would have flying cars and advanced technology. Now technology has advanced and we may have the technology to make consoles with VR headsets, but it's the cost that will be the problem.

Also it's not all you would think it to be, so yeah, maybe in the decades.

i was kinda amazed we had the technology of the nintendo wii, and be able to sell it commercially, cheaply! (i mean the way that it turned out).

i do belive that eventually it will turn into virtual reality, which will be awesome!! whether it will be the next generation, i am not sure. i have a feeling that all games will be downloaded, rather than on disc. however, i feel that this technology is avaiable now, but is not out as it would mean the closure of all game stores. so i guess thats why its been held back...

I hope not because I have been told that virtual reality headsets can easily cause cancer. If it doesn't, it will really badly affect your eyesight.
