Wherever you can still find large populations of Italian-Americans, you're bound to find universities with a significant amount of Italian-American students. Therefore I'd say ones in Boston, New York City and Philadelphia. Catholic universities are also popular with Italian-Americans. Two schools I can think of are Temple University and La Salle University in Philadelphia.

Just a guess, but I would guess that those in Italy have a large number of Italian students. If you are talking about U.S. universities, most of the international students aren't from Europe, since their own universities are well-respected. The exception might be schools with a lot of international students in general, or those which are so well-respected that they draw the best from around the world, but that is more likely to be the case for graduate schools.

probably not any major universities. An alternative is to enroll in a public state university near home and study abroad in Italy.
