hahhaa...

WELCOME!!

I paid nearly $4,000 for my satelite.. and lost a friend over it.. as she sold it to me for commissions.. I trusted her.. and bought this piece of junk instead of a sony vaio.. which was the same price..

I have since lost 3 hard drives.. you'll need ot go to the computer shop and ask that they remove the old hard disk and replace it.. you will then loose everything you have saved on that hard disk..

You might be able to recover it but it will be costly as the disk in your hard drive probably has a corrupted boot sector.. in other words.. YOUR STUFFED!!

I found Toshiba's support ot be average too.. I had problems with this machine the day I got it.. and they just did nothing..

Mine overheats, switches itself off mid use.. and also has a fickle hard drive as I have now replaced it 3 times..

My attempts to inform Toshiba of my situation.. fell on deaf ears.. I brought it in for service twice.. but got it back just a bit cleaner.. nothing else was done to it.. and sure enough.. the machine just kept crashing on me..

I'm very close ot punching a hole through the screen.. then I might remove all the serial numbers and throw it through Toshibas front window.. to let them know I'm a disatisfied customer..

I also threatened Toshiba with bad press as my firned runs a large website.. and they threatened to sew me.. so I had no choice from the time I bought this lemon.. but to use it..

Can't wait to make a bit more money so I can give this one a viking ritual ..

I'll NEVER buy Toshiba again!!

Hmm... Sounds like a hardware issue to me.

First suggestion would be if you have two sticks of memory installed on the machine, remove one and try to boot it up. If it blue screens, swap the one you just removed and try it again. If it blue screens with both sticks of memory, then it could be any number of things.

Does the machine feel hot when it blue screens? Like hotter than normal?

If it is, then it might be overheating. Try cleaning out the vents with compressed air.

Other than that, the only suggestion I would have is to bring it in to get it looked at.

Could be bad RAM or a bad hard drive. Send it in for repair.
