You are too short to be a standard model. I heard Kate Moss is 5'9 and she is considered short by model standards. Now if you are really pretty and truly want to model I saw some petite models on QVC the shopping network once, but they don't have them on very often. You could contact QVC to see where they get their petite models from or you could contact the top modeling agencies to see if they have any petite devisions. Good luck.

Well, It depends. Normal models ARE around 5' 9'' - 6'+. but petite models can be shorter because of their thin waistes. Petite modelling agencies will not use models under 5' 6'' here is a link http://www.modelpromote.com/modeling.htm

I dont know exactly how short is too short. Alot has to do with confidence, and poise. I think it is rediculous to have such crazy standards for women. Someday I want to design a fashion line for real women/girls,and have real people model it,not stick figures that tower above you. I know it sounds hokey, but you just have to believe in youself and be determined, nobody has a good standard for beauty. But I believe you can. Good luck! (Hey,maybe,I'm talking to a future super model, whoo!)

You aren't too short, unless you wanna be a runway model. There are so many aspects of modeling you can get into that don't care about you height. One of the best is print/ ad modeling. GOOD LUCK!!!

You are too short for high-fashion and catwalk modeling but might be able to get catalogue and beauty work. Unfortuantely not many agencies will take you on if you are only able to fulfill limited positions.
Stay in school, and find something else that you love.

sorry, baby, but most fashion models have to be at least like 5'7". In order to make it, you need to have something extra that the other girls don't have. Maybe it's a fierceness or a great strut. You might be able to do some catolog modeling, though.

kate moss is 5'6" and she's a pretty short supermodel. but your height won't hold you back from many other modeling gigs if you've got a good body and a pretty face. Keep sending those photos out! Persistence should pay off for you.

Maybe for some agencies, but others may take you on. Typically, 5'6" is short for a model. Good luck though.
