Well I think that it is how you make your marriage. Yes the guy gets a lot of benefits but so does a woman but still all depends on the man that you marry. If he is laid back all the time looking at television or I should say a couch potato then you have a problem. Like, "grab me a beer honey!" no this is not the type of guy you marry. Now if you are smart like I am and marry someone who wants to be there on the top of things helping you cook and even do laundry and everything else because it is just fun doing things for each other and together then you wouldn't have a problem with people bragging about their almost perfect marriages. You aren't really happy aren't you?
Hey as I say it is how you make it because you could give a man bad habits and its worst than a child because sometimes you could never break it.

a marriage should be a 50/50 union, both parties benefit equally from it and when it ends both are left with the shaft. Men that abuse, cheat or dominate the marriage are more likely to receive the shorter end of the stick when it's over because the courts rule in the wife's favor. If children are a result of the marriage the wife usually gets the shorter end even though she has custody of the children the spouse doesn't always pay the full support the children need to raise them.

Wewll ideally it's suppose to benefit both people because marriage is about being "equal" to each other but the laws don't seem to reflect that. I know some women that benefited greatly in divorce and women that got the shaft. Case in point, Anna nicole Smith for marrying a really old guy for 14 months she thinks she's entitled to nearly 400 million dollars i think that is absurd it's not like she was married to him for a long time no children either she was basically using him now her daughter is the sole beneficiary and she will be taken advantage by that lawyer.

In the right relationship, it should be equal. In todays time and age, there is no domination in a marriage and no-one should be getting the shaft! It's a give and take situation. Doesn't mean that your marriage is perfect, just means that two people are mature enough to grow together and compromise to make it work!!

It's so hard to say sence there are so many different marriages, for so many different reasons.
I suppose I have to base my answer on the married couples I know or have known.
It was always the man who benifited from the marriage. I only know of one couple out of very high number, who in their marriage the husband didn't cheat. The rest of the hubby's did. And all the wives gave them numerous chances to be the man they loved and married.
Women get the shaft!!

Marriage is a sharing of two people and their lives to-
geather so the benefits will be shared among the two.
Although there is no such thing as a perfect marriage be-
cause we live in an imperfect world, two people can be
happy with each other because some is given and some
is taken on both sides.

I would say the man gets more than the women - they now have someone to cook, wash clothes, iron, clean, etc. Women get the shaft in most marriages.

You can't have a good marriage without a little give and take but I would say that women benefit more because men usually do more to piss off a woman than a woman does a man...then they have to make up for it hehe

You have to base this answer based on what type of marriage a couple has. You can usually tell who benefits most from marriage.

Marriage is a 1+1 larger than 2 thing, a win-win scenario, meaning one person complements the other. You are asking the question as one conquering the other (which is a win/lose) scenario.
