Sometimes I think it's because someone has reported you. And when they do they get to write out a report as long as they want to in great exagerated detail and alot of times yahoo will base their decision on that, which frankly is not really fair because some people just can't accept constructive criticism. That and other times yahoo will determine acceptable content, whether their right or wrong, their decision is final. We just gotta live with it.

Go to the forum page, then look at the community guidelines and you will see a list of what's allowed and what isn't. However, in practice, it seems that folks can just label one's contributions as 'abuse' for no good reason, and a violation notice is sent automatically - very annoying!

Just about anything. I've answered questions with perfect grammar and spelling, no swear words, and didn't even say anything remotely offensive - and have gotten reported. So it doesn't matter - if someone doesn't like your wit, you'll get a violation.
With me, I think most people are just greatly intimidated by my answers and I'm cool with that.
But what's funny is I always find out exactly who reports me.

Don't quote verified facts from bona fide research because some questioners will VN you for that if they don't like the answer even if it is legitimate.

people report now for the stupidest more unoffensive questions it seems. its really stupid if you dont like a question or it offends you. ignore it people no need to report it.
