I've been learning alot about blacks because my cousin recently married one and I don't want to be offensive (I have not known very many blacks and it was because of my environment and not by choice). Anyhow, I have been researching and It seems that although nearly every society has had slaves, throughout the entire world history, only Africans were actually taken from their place of origin and brought to an entire other continent. I read that it is the biggest forced exodus ever. Is this true? Because if it is, I think it changes everything.

I like your screen name-I'm a fan of Jules Verne. But why does the slavery of African Americans change everything? Slavery is slavery, no matter how it's done or who's enslaved.
