Stupid youths who haven't got the imagination or the skills to figure out things for themselves and ask others for what THEIR opinions should be.

Sex in the media. Movies, TV, music and more. Many of our TV programs have sexual innuendos. And movies are even more so. It isn't uncommon to have sex scenes in movies plus the language has become much worse. The "blue" language is more prevalent in the media and in most all of our society. Films like The Godfather, 007 films, and many more, were once considered extravagant. Today, they would be the norm..The use of "dope" is probably on the rise too. Gay rights, openly gay people, gay marriage were all very taboo at one time. Our country wanting to take God out of society is a very large change. Questionable topics such as abortion, embryonic stem cell research, have added to the changes in a great questionable way. Almost all of the things I have listed seem to have had a poor, negative, effect on our society. Today's way of doing things lack honor, accountability, self respect, and dishonor high principles, not to mention dishonoring God. Some other things that have changed but are not necessarily for the worse are things such as, computers, internet, cell phones, advanced auto features. etc. etc.......

1. political correctness. it has gotten way out of hand. us older americans resent it because we remember a time when we could speak freely and didn't have to tippy toe around everyone's fragille egos and insecurities. it is too restrictive.
2. lack of morals. back then, we knew the difference between right and wrong. we may not have been goody two shoes and went through our rebellious phase, but we knew where the line was drawn and didn't dare step over it.
3. parenting. when i was a kid, we were afraid of angering or upsetting our parents. today it's the other way around.
4. obesity. i can't believe how many fat kids there are today. it all comes from the parents allowing their kids to gorge on mcdonalds, pizza, and all this fast food and then letting them play their video games and watch mtv for hours.
5. the media. back then, the media didn't go out of it's way to pit americans against each other and spread anti american propaganda.
6. entertainment. the bar will soon be lowered to the point where full fledged porno flicks will be shown right after sesame street. there's too much sex, violence, and profanity.

Gosh that's a hard question because so many things have changed. I think the biggest would probably be the family dynamic. The typical family consisted of a mother, father, and kids. Now there are so many single family homes. Another change I think is that there are more more unmarried couples than there are married couples.
