The black American inventor John Burr received an invention patent for an improved rotary blade lawn mower.
He worked hard on design flaws that he had identified and eventually came up with some improvements. Burr designed a lawn mower that had wheels with better traction. His mower had an improved blade that was less likely to become clogged with grass clippings, thus making the job much easier and cleaner.
This famous black inventor also made alterations in the design of the standard lawn mower to allow it to cut closer to buildings and edges. These improvements paved the way for the efficient and easy to use lawn mowers that are in circulation today. We owe our thanks to inventors like John Burr for their hard work and ingenuity that has made our lives easier. U.S. patent # 624,749 was issued to John Albert Burr on May 9, 1899 for his invention.

I would have to Say George Washington Carver. George Washington Carver is often associated with peanut better but people fail to realize that is he did way more that just experiment with peanuts and potatoes. For example if u ever go to visit Tuskegee university the contributions made by Washington are evident. He was accepted into the University of Tuskegee to direct the agricultural research and in developed many products such as making rubber from potatoes during world war I which helped the economy and finally he inspired the gilded Age.

Huh??
I thought ALL black AFro-Americans are either rappers, gangsters and prison inmates..
Well.. that's what all the sitcoms, movies and TV shows we see are trying to tell us..
You'll have ot look into it to find the famous ones who did a lot.. for one though.. you can take pride knowing that without the blacks in USA.. the sporting heritiage USA is so proud of would not exist since nearly all of the top athletes are Afro American..
