Click on start. Right click on My Computer, select properties, Hardware, Device Manager. Find your Audio Driver (probably has a yellow question mark next to it). Right click on that driver and select Update Driver.

Make sure you are connected to the internet to download the driver.

You need to rinstall your sound card's driver.
Under My computer you click on Hardware and then click on device manager.
There you will select the Sound item and when you right click you can go to properties. Then you can update the drive from there
If you can't. go to the PC maker's website and download the drive for your model. You might have to go on a sperate website depending on the brand

when you reinstall windows, it is like starting over. it erased all drivers that didn't come with windows. in other words, you need to reinstall your speaker drivers. you should be able to find it on your speaker manufacturers website. good luck!
