Steelers.

A reasonable answer would have to look over the past couple years because you would need to start with the Carson Palmer vs. Ben Roethlisberger era.

1) For all the hype over the Bengals, the deliverables are ambiguous over the also two seasons. Both teams split in the regular season. Steelers took one playoff game.

2) Both teams faced a ton of adversity. Palmer had his injuries and the Bengals went to jail. Steelers lost some key players and Roethlisberger was hurt. As such, I think you have to call the adversity issue awash.

3) The Pittsburgh defense is by leaps and bounds better than the Cincy defense.

4) Palmer and Johnson may be better as pure players, but Roethlisberger and Ward just seem to get it done. In the end, that's what counts -- not the statistics.

5) Mentality: Palmer, Johnson, Houshmenzadeh, et al. talk a lot of smack and don't back it up. The Steelers may be "mouthy" on the defensive side of the ball, but I think the offense has come out relatively humble and have shown they are capable of playing smart team football. That wins championships -- not claiming you're the better team and losing the football game.

That said, Tomlin and the new Steelers's coaching staff is the X-factor here. If he can reform the Steelers, then they are without question the superior team. He could take him down the other road, which would mean that Cincy would be the dominant force.

WTF is it with people judging players by there performance in the probowl...it is a joke...as for big ben being a puss how bout u get on a bike and ill hit u with my car and well see how long it is before u can move let alone go out and play professional football...BTW how many rings do carson and the bungles have...that would be 0...also wanted to see how the AFC north championship from 2 yrs ago is treatin ya cause the super bowl was a great time.

that LeBron guy is about as f*** up as u..."worser" almost a word...50yrs wow they will be back in the hunt this year

The Best players? Dude the Pro Bowl is FAN BALLOTING. It isn't STATS. Anyway I think the Bengals could easily beat Pitt. Although Pitt is the COLLEGE.

I THINK you're asking who is better and the answer is Pittsburgh. They had an uncharacteristically off year which I attribute to Cowher...a lack of focus perhaps? He played Ben when Ben was obviously not ready. I'm anxious to see how Mike Tomlin will lead the team. And let's face it, the Rooneys are the class act of the NFL.

What about them? If you're asking whose better I say The Steelers because the always kick their butt. Talent, coaching and depth wise the Bengals should be a much better team if they could keep their players out of jail.

Bengals because, they have a better quarterback, a better coach, better clutch players (ocho cinco, housh), and the biggest reason of all, the pittsburg steelers are overrated, have no passing attack, and defense lacks skill in the secondary. Palmer could tear them apart when his line is healthy, and Rothelisberger cannot beat them with his arm.

Pittsburg has had dynasty teams while the Bengals are known primarily for the hurry up offense, and Chad Johnson's TD celebrations. Also, Cincinnati Bengals fans are total idiots.

I say the Bengals have more players in jail than the Steelers, and the reason is they are not bright enough to get away with it
