Not surprising at all. The media only reports bad news about Iraq, and the American public laps it up like a kitten laps up milk.

It seems that's the way our news is being reported these days. I've taken to watching our local news and the BBC World News just so that I can keep a fair perspective on current events.

The only reason why those areas are peaceful is because the population is so small. All that lives in those areas are goat farmers.
