my english teacher said that we have to give up a "Necessary" or something that we think that we cant live without, for a week. i cant do tv or computer because i already tried that.

Why can't you do TV? It's not really necessary and this is exactly what your teacher is going for. You think you need TV, but it's not true.

What about non-electronic things -- like make-up, contact lenses, soda, shoelaces, watch, magazines, newspaper, or deodorant.

There are intangibles like -- talking, shopping, gossiping, or lying.
