Yes, anyone aged 60 or over qualifies for free prescriptions. Also, when you are over 60, you don't need to sign or fill in your details on the prescription, just tick the box saying over 60.

Sure is free - all men and women 60 or over are entitled to free prescriptions. If you have certain medical conditions like diabetes or thyroid problems you may be entitled to a medical exemption irrespective of your age.
