Go into control panel -> users and groups, you can create new users with their own login and desktop, etc.

Also, when you install programs, often Windows (e.g. XP) will ask if you want to install it for just yourself or for everyone. This affects whether the other users can use what you've installed.

Yes. First you need to create the 3 accounts via Control Panel -> User Accounts. Then you log on to each account, open a browser, go to the page you want, then from the Tools menu, select "Internet Options.." and then click the "Use Current" button.

You do this for each of the 3 accounts.

Yes.

If you are using Windows XP, setup 3 windows logins. This will enable you to hold custom settings (colors, screen options, home page setting etc.) for the 3 people.

Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Users

Yes. The computer saves all preferences for those accounts. I assume you're refering to Windows XP. My wife and I have seperate accounts on the same computer and a lot of our personal preferences are different. And they are saved just fine.

im not sure what you mean exactly. but on windows you can setup three different user accounts so that when you boot up your laptop they would have to sign in. then they will each be able to setup their account with whatever files/programs they want including homepages on the internet.

You can have multi-logon accounts and each one can have their own settings to windows. If you go to

Start > Control Panel > User Accounts

From there you can add more user accounts and you can set it up so each one has its own password.
