ok my b/f has to be the biggest procrastiantor ever! he had jury duty about 3 months ago and didnt go, i think they called once told him to come in, he didnt.....ok so it's been about 3-5 months and he hasent herd anything...i know you could get a fine or even a warrent for your arrest. i want to avoid the warrent for him so what could i do..

should he call a 1800 number i found and explain he didnt show and would like to do what he needs to he dosent have to go to jail?

not call and see what happens i herd somtimes nothing will happen


if he calls will the arrest him???

we live in southern cali and he is 19....any advice would help! thanks!

There is most likely an open bench warrant for him. The probably won't come knocking on the door, but it will show up on any traffic check, parking ticket, credit check, etc.
Best to ask and take care of it now, before it causes any real trouble.

They cant aresset him if u just call them use *67 if your worried about that. But yeah most states if you miss jury duty you will have a warrant out for your arrest and they wont come looking for you on that they just wait untill they happen to pull you over in a car one day or half to stop him for something thats when they get you with those. Have him not you call and ask what he has to do about that so he wont go to jail or just call the jail house and ask if he has a warrant out for his arrest if he does not then that means they probably wont do anything about it and he got lucky this time.

I suggest you tell him to sort it out, then drop him. He's never going to amount to much, and will always lean on his girlfriend or family to do everything for him. You deserve better than that. Leave it alone; if he doesn't fix the problem himself and gets arrested, maybe that will be a wakeup call for him.
