If I've used yahoo mail on a computer ( or gmail) would the letter itself be saved to the hard disc ( if I didn't save it) and in order to recover it, what would need to be done? Would it look like a regular yahoo internet page or would it be fragmented?
Thanks!

Clarification - I want to know whether someone going into my hard drive can see it, not whether I can recover it. If someone REALLY wanted to

It wouldnt be saved to your hard drive if you DID save it let alone didnt! Yahoo is web based mail and is saved at the site! You have to copy it to your drive if you want a copy!

yahoo or gmail is not like outlook. there isn't any copy of it on your hard drive. the e-mails are saved on yahoos email server. if you accidentally deleted an e-mail there really isn't a way to recover it. sorry!

Nope, it's not on your computer anywhere, it's on Yahoo's server harddrive somewhere. If you didn't save it, there's really no way to get it back from your end. I doubt Yahoo could do anything either.

No, those are both web mail and are not downloaded to the computer. The emails are stored on their servers.
