I am without a doubt an American Idol junkie. When the new season began I changed my chemo/radiation schedule I could watch the show without being 2 sick. I've been in the hospital for over a month, so maybe it's all the chemo, radiation or the nonstop pain medication, but I'm starting to think the judges have really dropped the ball this season. Sending home some really great singers and keeping some "what were you thinking" singers to go on.

Kicking some to the curb when they forgot the lyrics, but letting others move on. Bailey comes to mind. Last nite they had one more opening for a girl, but 2 girls were left, they played back their days in Hollywood. One kicked ***, hit all her notes and lyrics. The other not so good, she could sing, but she was off pitch and she slurred her words cause she had forgotton them. And Justin Timberlake sang with an Idol reject at the Grammy's. Are the judges cutting some good talent and if so, why? What do you think?

I know!! I loved little Bailey Brown. She was so cute. I think she got cut #1 b/c she forgot her lyrics. If the show weren't telvised live then that would not have to be a factor- and #2 she was so young. It seems like they are much more critical of the teenagers.

BTW-I don't know if it is appropriate to laugh at but I found that so funny that you planned your chemo around the Idol. I really hope you get to feeling better soon. You sound like you have a very positive outlook. Good luck and thoughts to you.

I agree, They cut some people who I think are very good. I hate it when someones cut because they think their to young and tell them to come back in a couple of years. They meet the age requirement, 16-29. They usually have good voices too. They say they need to practice more. I thought that's what Hollywood was all about. They get to work with voice coaches and then perform to see who they'll keep during the elimination shows before their actual performance in front of the audience and America. Whatever. It's irritating. Hope your feeling better now. Chemo/radiation can be a drag. Best wishes for your recovery.

no, because i think AI is scripted and pre-determined after the "contestants" are chosen. and that was my nice answer.
