Depending on the type of website and your demographic, I would also make some t-shirts. It's really simple and if you give them away, they will spread! Especially amongst college students. Also, (again depending on what you are trying to sell) use myspace.com. You wouldn't believe the amount of bands and other trends that get started on there.
