What is the school's motto? Does the class of 2007 have a motto?
You can go on that.
You can also use some lyrics of popular songs as themes. When I was in high school (in the 70s). The Way we Were was extremely popular (it was movie with Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand). Anyway, that was a theme one year.
"I hope you dance" could be another. (take risks, etc.)
I graduated from a new school (1974). Two schools combined to make the 1 school The transition was a bit tough. The yearbook's name is "Phoenix" The new school rose from the ashes to become a new and better school. (I hope you get the idea)
Has is it been a particularly challenging year? You can use a slogan or theme on that- something like We Met the Challenge!
We Triumphed! (or something like that)
Has it been a good year? You can build on the name "Good Year" (hopefully, not offending the company, Goodyear) and you can find lots of pictures of "good things" happening in your school.

well, this next year i am yearbook editor and I am also looking for a theme, but our theme for this year was "How to measure a year" like the song from rent, and then we would put different things like "256 times fans go to the games to see the cheerleaders" the numbers don't have to be real though
