As the others have mentioned, it varies. I stayed in a very nice, clean motel in Newport this weekend for $39 including tax. Motel 6 in Coos Bay is posting their rates at $39.99 at the moment, and rooms at the Hallmark Inn in Newport were $127 a night (on the ocean). The same hotels in the summer are usually double the rates I listed.

okay you comments are very confusing and makes me wonder whether you really want the answer.. but either way here it is and i hope this helps! :)

depends on what type of hotel you stay in, how busy they are, whether you have AAA or AARP discounts.
if you are staying in a downtown (portland) hotel (hilton, marriot for example) expect to pay around 119-179 a night, plus the tax (depends on the county the hotel is located in).
if you are somewhere outside of the downtown, but still relatively close expect to pay 99-139 a night
if you are way outside of town, but still close as to where a 20-30 min drive will get you to downtown, expect 79-109 a night.
once agian, all depends on the brand of the hotel.
I have worked for different locations of Hilton hotels, our rates varied from 79 to 200 a night.
now i manage a Best Western Hotel, (way out of town, 20-30 min from downtown) the rates are 79-99 for standard rooms. (that is either one king, or two queens)
suites will be noticebly different in price, usually in smaller hotels around 30-40 bucks more a night.
in bigger hotels it will be anywhere from 50-500 difference.
all depends on the type of the suite ($500 rate difference will apply to a presidential suite in a close to downtown big Hilton Hotel).
Lodging tax varies by county, usually (in Oregon) anywhere from 7%-15% of your roomrate.
and just a reminder, the nicer you are to the FD agent, the bigger chance you have of getting a better rate, but if they dont' do anything don't get mad, it might not be in their power.
