It really depends on what are of the country you are referring to, what category of hotel (stars) etc. It can vary a lot. But, I would say the average is anywhere from around $80 to $200 a night.

But that is just a complete guess.

there is a warning that says do not answer your question for some reason.. but i'm going to anyway. but you have the same answer I gave to the other guy:
hope it helps

depends on what type of hotel you stay in, how busy they are, whether you have AAA or AARP discounts.
if you are staying in a downtown hotel (hilton, marriot for example) expect to pay around 119-179 a night, plus the tax (depends on the county the hotel is located in).
if you are somewhere outside of the downtown, but still relatively close expect to pay 99-139 a night
if you are way outside of town, but still close as to where a 20-30 min drive will get you to downtown, expect 79-109 a night.
once agian, all depends on the brand of the hotel.
I have worked for different locations of Hilton hotels, our rates varied from 79 to 200 a night.
now i manage a Best Western Hotel, (way out of town, 20-30 min from downtown) the rates are 79-99 for standard rooms. (that is either one king, or two queens)
suites will be noticebly different in price, usually in smaller hotels around 30-40 bucks more a night.
in bigger hotels it will be anywhere from 50-500 difference.
all depends on the type of the suite ($500 rate difference will apply to a presidential suite in a close to downtown big Hilton Hotel).
Lodging tax varies by county, usually (in Oregon) anywhere from 7%-15% of your roomrate.
and just a reminder, the nicer you are to the FD agent, the bigger chance you have of getting a better rate, but if they dont' do anything don't get mad, it might not be in their power.

Totally depends where you are staying. Major cities will be more. Sometimes you can find decent ones for $50 a night. I found a nice one in Southern California for about $35 a night. Try going to cheaphotels.com if you want definite prices.

$70-$80/night, depending what town you're in and what hotel you go to.
Tax adds $5-10/night, by the way.
