No of course not. Drivers do not think for one minute that they are responsible for pollution. Even those that drive diesel cars are responsible for others deaths, wonder if they are aware of that!!! Do they know 9,000 deaths a year are caused by diesel fuel?? Do they know that the particles from diesel fuel lead to heart attacks and are the lethal price of economic motoring??
Scottish scientists have uncovered disturbing new evidence that diesel engines are causing thousands of deaths each year.??
Tiny soot particles from diesel exhausts - 30 times smaller than the width of a human hair - as the chief culprits in 9,000 fatal heart attacks in the UK annually.Wonder if they will quit driving their polluting cars? You reckon????????????

No they won't give up There's a local newspaper campaign here at the moment, saying about the amount of cigarette butts there are littered on the streets outside offices now the smoking ban in is being enforced. 1, they should provide more bins of some kind. 2, Surely if people didn't litter the streets there would be no-one employed as street sweepers - unemployment goes up! The Government obtains a high percentage of tax from smokers...where will they get the money from now? I'll tell you the answer.....non-smokers! Yes non-smokers are all too quick to get a ban into place, and are obviously happy to give the Gov't their higher tax! I could go on for hours about this, but I won't.....you'll never stop me...

FUNNY STORY. I used to work at a mall and was out on my break smoking. It was full fledged summer, a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold. I was smoking about 20 feet from any entrance or parking spaces (on my own accord, not because of signs) and some fool, who appeared to be waiting for his wife was sitting in his IDLING car shooting me looks...I couldn't figure it out so I shot him a funny look back and he had the nerve to get out of his STILL running car and tell me how I was killing us all!! Of course, being on my work break, all I could do was nod, smile and put my smoke out....suffice to say, that was NOT what I wanted to do and I sure wanted to point out that as many smokes as I may smoke in a life time sure wouldn't hurt anyone as much as his idling car on a warm day.

I don't smoke and I drive a very fuel efficient car. That said, there are benefits to vehicles. There is little if any benefit to smoking tobacco so the two are very difficult to compare. The problem with cigarette smoke, is even small amounts of second hand smoke can be very harmful to people, especially children. Do you really want to run the risk of doing harm to your child or someone else's?
