You really should drop out of college to make space for someone that actually VALUES an education.

have you tried looking for scholarships or seeing someone from the financial aid office at your school. As a college student you should have heard of FAFSA.. Fill one out, the worst they can say is, We're sorry... There are lots of places like fastweb.com that run searches for you on scholarships. The money is out there. Its the only way I'm still in school at NCSU.
Have you tried a part-time job to off-set some of the costs? There is also the possibility of going to a community college to get some of the core classes out of the way and then transfering to a larger college/university. Community Colleges are most often cheaper than bigger colleges and universities, so this could also take care of some of those expenses.
At your college there is also probably a place that helps with Career decisions. Check them out to see if your interests coincide with the majors they have. There should also be undesignated majors within the college you are attending, which could be a good option until you decide what you are truely interested in.
Even an other option could be technical school. They are out there, and they boast of starting out doing hands on work. I don't know much about technical schools, but that is something you could look at.
Also, know that the determination it takes to stay in school and finish that pain in the *** degree is harder than dropping out. A lot of students that I've seen "take a break" are still breaking.
Hope all this information helps!

can you go to a city college? they are usually cheaper? maybe apply for scholarships or financial aid? so you at least dont have to worry about the financial aspect of it. usually financial aid are pretty generous as well as other city help. try that. if you really think college is not for you, or maybe it's just not for you right now, try finding work maybe part time at least or try doing an internship. also maybe get a certificate of some sort and continue education in the future, if you even need it. maybe you will find a great job where they will pay for your college if they determine it is needed in the future! just decide on what you would like to do. what would make you happy? then all will fall into place :)

Alot of places require you to have a minimum amount of experience but how do you get it! It seems that the easiest thing to do is jack in college and go for the job you want now!
Although if you stay the qualifications you will have WILL give you an advantage on the guy that has none.
The point is time is on your side either way you will have to work your way up the ladder and worry about money!
If you don't like your major look for your perfect job and see if you could train for that.

If you only like hands-on work, your education may be preparing you for a "good" job which is also not hands-on. Most universities primarily prepare you for desk jobs. You might want to change your major to something more hands-on or, if that isn't an option, think about trade school. People who are skilled mechanics or cosmetologists can make a lot more than college drop-outs.

go to college man.
there will always be time to change your major, but any job without a college degree won't pay nearly as much as if you stay. just stick it out. you're almost done. think about it this way...you've been going to school for all these years. what's a few more gonna harm? and when you get out, u'll be able to pay back the loans and get more cash, so don't worry too much.

I think you should follow your heart. Don't waste your money if you are really not into school. Get a job, and find something you like to do and if you want to go back to school later then go. Its never to late to contitue your education. Have you thought about a trade school that has more hands on work? Consider something like that.

Join the Navy or other armed forces! It worked for my husband. College wasn't for him either, and rather than be a garbage man like his mom said, he joined the Navy for 6 years, and became a responsible contributing person.
Don't give up. Life it too short! Try and try again.

Stay in school get a degree it will pay off in the future. I don't use my degree but having one helps. There is no reason why you can't work and go to school.
