I'm from NY and I love all hip hop, but I feel like the dirty south hip hop artist are getting way too big heads. I personally feel that lyrically they are not all that and if it wasn't for their beats and hooks they would not enjoy their success. Don't get it twisted I want all brothers and sisters to do their thang, especially if it gets them out of illegal activity.
If it wasn't for Ludacris, Outkast, Trick Daddy, Scarface, and some of them Houston boys, I probably wouldn't listen to anything from the south. I respect and love hip hop, so I just want it to always improve. Oh yeah I know some NY MC's are wack right now and are beefing too much, but our best are still doing their thing. Am I being too serious?

the rap world has it's pros and cons......
the south is known for hot beats more than anything and the east coast is very lyrical but they have alot of drama in the beef dept and the west coast is more hard core and they fall more into the gansta rap....... it depends on your personal preference but like everything else in life....take the good with the bad.

Yes i do and if u really listen to what most of them are saying its not much actually it doesnt make any sense and that's all it is is the hot beats other than that...........
