Many people are addicted to drugs, whether legal or illegal. Treatment facilities understand that, they are there to help, Not to catch people commiting crimes. A decent facility will offer confidential help to the addict and his friends or family as necessary. They are NOT the police so unless he gets caught with drugs on the street, driving, etc you should both be fine.... your main concern is to go ahead and get the help as soon as possible.
Good Luck

The important thing is to get him the help he needs. If he doesn't have in his possession illegal drugs, I don't think they can do anything about his admission to doing them. Contact your local county health department or your family doctor for the names of local drug programs, some are in-house and some are out patient, depending on how bad his addiction is. You should also attend Al-Anon meetings to help him cope with this. You are doing the right thing for both of you. I wish you all the luck and God Bless you both. P.S. You can also sometimes get information from the internet. And sometimes employers have programs for employees who have addictions (alcohol or drugs). He could take a leave from work and say he's visiting relatives out of state if you are so concerned about how people will react, but I always believe truth is the best. The people who care will support you both, while he is being treated and afterwards when you need it, and the people who don't weren't really good friends, now were they?

He needs help. There are a lot of avenues to go through. Drug addiction is serious. He could ruin his life, his mind, or even die. The legal aspect should be the least of your worries.
Also, it is not healthy for you to be in a relationship with a drug user. I was once, and it wore off on me, I became an addict and my life was halted for years because of it. I saw a psychiatrist, and was not taken to jail or reported. Look into community services or online help.

First of all, if you're really trying to get help for you and your boyfriend, you need to stop worrying about people 'getting into your business'. There are confidentiality laws in the US which prevent treatment centers from running with your info to the police. But you have to be serious and not just going through the motions if you want help. Also, your boyfriend has to recognize he has a problem too. You can't do it for him.

Does he want help ? thats the first question to ask. does he have insurance ? most places will not take him in a program if he does not have insurance. Some states have free programs but they suck. Not really there to help just wants tax payers money. Feel free to e-mail to talk. I KNOW all about the life he is living. He has to want to stop before you do anything. IF he does not wanna stop all the help in the world will do no good e-mail me to chat bow411@yahoo.com

NO HE WONT BE IN TROUBLE AT ALL.
But you will,
if you don't get away from him, there is no way you can help him, you don't have the knowledge to help him,
he is a dead man, if he doesn't find help himself and soon, have you ever heard of intervention? find out about it and get it before you both get killed. check with the AA group in your area
they will help you for sure, but it isn't going to be easy. so get ready for some real name calling.

He will not get in trouble for seeking help. He would get in trouble if caught with meds that are not his or failing a drug test. Get him help.

NO YOU CAN NOT, AS LONG AS YOUR NOT SUPPLYING HIM , THEN KNOW YOU CAN'T GET IN TROUBLE. WHAT HE NEEDS IS TO GO INTO DRUG COUNSELING OR IN TO A REHAB BUT YOU CAN NOT HELP HIM ONLY HE CAN HELP HIMSELF. IF HE IS NOT READY TO QUIT THEN YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME , HE HAS TO WANT THIS FOR HIMSELF NOT BECAUSE YOU WANT HIM TO START. BUT I WILL TELL YOU YOUR GONNA HAVE TO SHOW HIM TOUGH LOVE . IT'S NOT GONNA BE EASY BUT IF YOU LOVE HIM THEN YOU WILL HELP HIM AND STAND BY HIM LOL
