His production has lessened over the last couple of years and I suspect that will be the case. If he can bring his average up around .275 to .280 I think they will keep him in the lineup. Even at his age I still think he can do that. As a team the Astros really do need to get some pop back in their lineup now with the retirement of "Bags".

No. His production has gone down but the man is still better than half of the ballplayers out there. besides, he's a true veteran and a true leader on that team. benching him might not be good for team morale, unless he gets hurt or voluntarily steps down.

Bench him?? If they did that would certainly be slapping the face of possibly the best player in their team history.
