I am in 18 year old hispanic dating a white male, I know that am not his type but we still love each other. Am the tanish hispanics from puerto Rico but he prefers the "Daddy Yankee" types. Every time we go out, i keep catching him looking at other guys " Daddy Yankee" types. Am no where near like the "Daddy Yankee" type, am more of the smart " American Eagle" type. I try not to make it a big deal but am always in denial because i say am ok with it but am not. He saids am good looking but sometimes i feel am not good looking enough for him because he keeps looking at those "Daddy Yankee" types. We both love each other but i have that one flow i never had with anyone else, Why do i have to go through this? What can i do to be ok with it? I want to keep this relationship going for the years to come because we been through so much. What do i do?

do you live in miami? everyone there is into the papis (i live here, i know.) you need to get a guy that is into YOU - because trying to be something you're not and trying to be lighter skinned is entirely impossible. this relationship will eventually end, and hopefully it will not end when his wandering eyes end up landing him in bed with a player daddy yankee type and you end up with HIV when he sleeps with you afterwards. be careful... and get out of this realtionship that makes you feel like crap.

Dude wake up and smell the coffee! Dump him quick! If he is more into white guys and looks at other white guys and you are Puerto Rican then you can't very well change into a Daddy Yankee type (whatever that means but assuming older white guy). You are only 18 and frankly you need to be out shaken your spicy booty where it will be more than welcome and appreciated. Puerto Rican and 18! That's hot!

Looking at the merchandise does not mean he is going to buy it...If he feels about you the same way you do about him, you got nothing to worry about. Looking at other guys is a normal reaction or behavior. If it bothers you as much as you indicate, why didn't you tell him right away it bothered you. I think because you are insecure, you should probably discuss it with him now so you can stop worrying. Good Luck

As long as he doesn't cheat on you, He is yours. Eyes can wander wherever they want but the heart has to stay in one place. Don't pretend to be someone you are not, and if he can't except it, then you deserve someone better. It takes 2 to have the relationships work. Looks is not everything,

You can come to the realization that, just because he looks, doesn't mean he's going to leave you. My husband looks at women all the time (and I've pointed out women for him to admire more than once), but he comes home to me. Just as I come home to him, even though I admire good-looking men.
My theory is, just because you're in a serious relationship, that doesn't mean you have to stop admiring beauty.

Listen if my guy was always looking at other guys I would kick him to the curb. Somethings are just not right and never will be. Don't feel like you have to settle to be his 2nd best. Find a guy who wants you. His eyes should be for you only!!!!

I think that you should be honest and tell him how you feel...Let him know you appreciate him and really would like to be in this relationship for the long hall but with him looking at other men it makes you feel as if he doesnt appreciate you....If your secure about your feelings than communicating should be top priority..Good Luck..
