Obviously your demographic is not large enough to matter to the media.

Because it isn't in their best interest to represent the ignorant. It is however, impartial to be open to the idea of having a black president because you can't judge someone's ability by the way they look. the news cannot be discriminate the way you are and still be viewed as a valuable source of imformation. Stop using your own head and thoughts put into it by those around you to judge the value of other human beings. You are just mad because you no longer have the oppurtunity to feel superior to those who are different than you.
It's not like the newspeople are thinking of electing someone just because he's black, you probably hate hilary clinton now too

this is the very reason that i am counting down the days until my son is 18 and i can move back up north where the views on issues like this are less narrow minded and you don't speak for every one in the south just the necks who most likely don't vote in the first place , i am stuck here because of a custody agreement and unlike most women i would never take my kids from their dad no matter how disgusting the people are where i live most of you don't even like any one who wasn't born below the mason dixon line as it is and your lack of education and backwoods mentality are a thing of the past i doubt at all millions of southern people are as narrow minded as you go join the damn klan and than you can all rant and whine about these issues

Why not a black President?
I can imagine why you wouldn't want Ray Nagin as your mayor, because he's proven himself to be incompetent. But what about Condaleeza Rice? How could you even hope for a better choice? She's very intelligent, determined, fair minded, academically and professionally accomplished, and has a lot of international dipomatic experience, as well as experience in balancing budgets.
Name one white candidate who ranks with Condi (no fair citing Newt Gingrich........ he's a genius)

It's not "news" that there are still a significant number of racists in the South. You should be glad the news media isn't publiciziing you ignorance and intolerance.

Why don't you want a black president. Is it because he is black? Would you rather have a less qualified white person in the hot seat? It's 2007 man, I am a conservative too, I feel lightheaded all of the sudden............

KKKnn?
bigotsnbc?
RedFoxNews... fair and balanced redneck reporting?
I really hope there aren't millions of Americans that would disqualify a valid candidate just because of his race... I mean political affiliation is enough for most.

I happen to be from the south and don't have an issue with race. Please don't lump everyone in with your narrow-minded views. We southerners don't all share them. Many of us have educations, intelligence and compassion. Just turn off the cartoons, take off the camoflage and go back to school!
