Oh yes the little devils , they are so cleaver, Well first of all you have to make sure there is no food around for them to eat. Mice only stay if there is a good supply of food near by , So make sure before you go to bed at night you sweep the kitchen floor put the garbage outside ,clean all your work top´s put any food you can away , like bread into the bread bin or the highest place you have. they don´t have step ladders so that´s lucky any other foods into plastic containers with tight lids´, also check inside any drawers in the kitchen . look and see if there is any holes in the wall´s be hide the cooker any where really , as for the trap you might have to get a bigger one . I had problems with mice ,and this is the bate I used , Spanish chorizo , it has such a strong smell , they just can´t help but sit there and eat it , cheese forget it . peanut butter work´s but the Spanish chorizo will get the little devil. also they hate the smell of these 2 thing´s peppermint oil and month balls . try leaving these to thing´s around the house okay you will have to suffer just a little but it´s worth it . the main thing is the food try not to invite them for lunch every day , and they will soon pack there bags and leave . hope you have luck . they can do a lot of damage

I had a mouse last year. I tried several different types of trap. The one that finally worked was one of those glue traps. It's like 3" by 4" and 1/2" thick filled with gooey stuff. I put it in an area where I had seen mouse feces. A day later the mouse had stepped in it and was stuck. Sort of depressing to deal with at that point, but very effective.

-Put monthballs and small pans filled with ammonia in the corners of your attick. The smell will drive them away. However, your house will smell of mothballs for a day or two. -You might try the humane traps such as Havahart. My experience is that they are very efficient. Can you put the traps in a cupboard, under the sink, or other space where the mice go, but not the dog or child? Be sure to bait them with something like peanut butter--it works much better than cheese. Also, the greater the number of traps you use, the more likely you are to catch the mice -I do not reccomend the glue trap

Before you try those inhumane glue traps, try my SUREFIRE bait. Smear peanut butter under the little lip. Take a peice of bacon about 1/4" x 1/2 inch and cram it into the peanut butter, also under the lip. I caught 24 in 3 hours with this. No, I'm not a pig. We lived in a 130 year old country farm house. They were in the soffits.

are they eating the bait off of the trap? if they are then then traps arent going off and you need to set the traps with no bait and throw them up in the air and let them hit the ground a few times so they will be able to go off easier. if thats not your problem, i have caught mice by melting candy (starburst) onto the trap or even marshmallows, the mouse just might just have a sweet tooth.

try to find where the mouse is coming in at. It may be a rat instead of a mouse. if it's a rat you may need a begger trap. Also, place the mouse trap against the wall. Mice like to travel alont the edges of walls as opposed to the middle of a room.

buy some peppermint oil and put it on a cotton ball wherever you mouse is creeping... they are allergic to it and will move out... catnip works well also... borrow someones cat if all else fails. close them in a room together for a few days and usually the cat will take care of the matter.

BCP is right !!! Unfortunately these things don't actually kill the mouse most of the time unless their face and nose gets into it. Keep a shovel handy to do the dirty work...
