Yay I'm so excited for you!

Sounds like it's time!!! :D

Go to the mall and start walking! Not only good excersize but will help bring those contractions on!

CONGRATS!

If your contractions are coming once every hour and aren't getting stronger or closer together then they are probably pre-labor or braxton hicks. Most doctors and midwives say not to call until your contractions are 5 minutes apart so if they are coming once an hour and irregular chances are they aren't the kind of contractions that will make you dilate. You can go to the hospital but they'll send you home. Best of luck.

GO TO THE HOSPITAL!! As a doctors wife, you need to get in to be checked out, at 37 weeks and dialated last Friday, you're more than likely ready to have a baby. Not all women experience intense hardcore labor pain. Good luck.

Well because of the consistancy I would go get checked. It all depends though. I was having contractions with my last son (who is very healthy) and they were 10 minutes apart for what seemed like forever and they had to have me come in and stop them. Well that went on going back and forth for 1 month...I have 3 boys total and all have been diferent so a call to the doc will let you know what he thinks but he prob will wanna see you just to check...Congradulations!

It's a sign that your baby is coming, but it is not "real" labor. Real labor are 5 minutes apart and lasts between 45-60 seconds. Since you lost your mucus plug, it can be anytime soon.

I suggest getting out and walking around a bit if they start getting closer together then yeah its the real thing but a lot of times moving around will cause them to dissipate, I've had false labor twice with my current pregnancy, the first time I went running to the hospital second time I walked around my yard for a little while and the contractions just went away.

it could be....
but then again, ive been having about 1-2 contractions an hour for about 6 weeks now. could be because i went into premature labor 6 weeks ago and was successfully treated by it.
but call your doc and see what he says, could be labor
good luck

No, labor pains will increase in intensity and decrease in the time between them. But to be safe call your Dr. or Go to L&D. You may have dialated from the contrations.
