I have to do an English Assignment about Prejudice...here is the assignment:

Define term - dictionary and personal opinion.
Reasearch and report on (3) exapmles. Two examples must come from the news; history, sports, politics, social, career, music, etc. The other example can be from personal experience.

The problem is...I don't have an opinion....I found one example which would be from "To Kill A Mocking Bird". I also defined the term Prejudice. Could someone give me thier opinion about "Predjudice" or 2 more examples because I don't have an Opinion. I am working on it now...

Please and THANK YOU

You don't have an opinion ?

What race, colour or creed are you ?

How would you feel if some prejudiced bigot attacked you because of your race, colour or creed ? Wouldn't you have an opinion then ?

As for other examples : how about prejudice against women in the work place, race prejudice against blacks in the south (USA), etc., etc.

My opinion. Prejudice is a state of mind. It is hard to accuse someone of being prejudiced without one of it's counterparts, discrimination. I can hate a particular race but unless I state that verbally or act upon that hate it's impossible to prove prejudice. Think of ways you may be considered prejudiced based upon what I suggested. Also think about situations where someone is prejudiced, discriminates and gets away with it. Example: "passive resistance" Just a little food for thought. Good luck!

Look, you must have a prejudice somewhere--do you think small children are all brats? Do you think that people who blow smoke in your face are ill-mannered idiots? Do you think that everyone over the age of 70 should have his driver's license taken away? Do you think that anything chocolate is better than anything strawberry? Do you think that boys/girls are rude? What about people who wear clothese that are too tight/loose? Do you think they are vain? Do you think that people who take infants on airplanes are inconsiderate?
And, for an example, there's always Mark Twain: Dear Reader, imagine you were a Congressman, and imagine you were an idiot--but I repeat myself.
