I got my tax return the other day, paid off a few bills, and still have some money left over. I've been really wanting to get another tattoo but have also wanted a new guitar. What do you think?

definitely get a guitar!!!!!!!!!
i love playing guitar.... trust me... its an amazing way to get away from everything
if you're in a mellow mood you can play some soft acoustic stuff, or if you're mad or just hyper then play some heavy metal and thrash your head off!!!
also, my baby looooooooooooves me playing
learn your girl's favorite song and play it for her.... =D

The guitar every time. I was always tempted to get a tattoo in my young Navy days. Now I have reached 60, I am glad I never got one.
Besides, you can be playing the guitar whilst you save up for another tattoo - if you must. You can always play air guitar whilst your tattoo is healing and you save for a guitar, but that doesn't make a lot of sense.
Or get a tattoo of a guitar?

Don't get a tattoo! It's very painful and depending on where you get it you even risk acquiring potentially fatal diseases like Hepatitis.
If you change your mind and decide you don't want the tattoo any longer it will cost a LOT of money for *many* painful laser treatments to have it removed. Even then some of it may be unremovable.
If you can't afford the treatments you're stuck with it. Also, as you grow older and your skin wrinkles and sags, the tattoo will also do the same and become even more unsightly.
Do yourself a favor: if you must get a tattoo, get one of those that last for a few days then wash off. You'll thank me when you're older...don't ask me how I know ;)

Guitar definately, I have later down the line regreted some Tattoos of mine but never regreted buying a guitar ever

Get the guitar!
Several reasons I can think of, the main one being that having a new guitar might make you practice more. If you get better, you can start a better band. Once you are in a better band, you will have lots of money to buy a bigger and better tatoo.

Get a guitar! How about a Taylor 500 series. They sound very sweet, and can help make you sound great.
A tattoo is just an ink splotch under your skin and makes you look gross!
