i have black hair too and the same skin color n i would recommend u to go for purple. U can work with the smokey look with 2 or 3 tones of purple, but make sure u dont overdo it so you wont look like u got punched in the eye. :P oh ya n i would recommend u to use dark purple with very light one n without any warm pink undertones.
gd luck
:) n have fun at the wedding

yes! most diffinately.
im a make-up artist and purple is an excellent color for those with yello undertones and need something to illuminate their skin.
if you ever see a purple colored makeup primer or concealer...thats the one for you! yellow, pale, green concealers..they all mean something different.
if you are looking for all over illumination skip browns, bronzers, etc. dont be scared of purple eyeshadow, just make sure you put it on correctly. you can always use a lighter color closer to your natural color on the brown bown, a medium shade purple on the lid, and a darker purple in the crease...it would be fabulous!
good luck

If it's a mauve dress, then try iridescent shimmer eyeshadow and brown or plum eyshadow and eyeliner. Never wear purple makeup unless it's trendy shimmer eyeliner, very very light, or a darker plum color. And for lips, try a sheer, glossy - but not heavy, tacky - lip shine. (but purple will lok good with your skin tone - they're complimentary colors) i really hope i helped!

Of course!!!
With yellow undertones, you should use the opposite, PURPLE!
I think light purple would be more flattering with yellow undertones because it just goes together so well!
Work it!

that would look fabulous darling if you mix it with some different shades...maybe som lilac on the bottom, darker in the crease. try it out with some cheap stuff at the drug store, just to make sure...or go to a professional place in the mall, and tell them you want purple.
