My best answer is that kinky is often considered the big "unnatural." I won't name names *cough* whole religious community *cough* but many feel that unnatural (what the phuck is natural anyways?) is wrong and should be hidden in closets and only to be flipped through in a dirty magazine when kept privately hidden in.... dare I say? the safe pages of the bible?
Today's society has a phobia against the abnormal. Different = Wrong is the mindset that causes things such as kinky to be looked at with a disapproving eye. Kinky should be the business of those sharing the kink. Like I always say, no victim no crime, who cares what people do when there's no victim?
Anyways, I don't think kinky gets AS bad a rap anymore, the focus is more on the homosexual community at the moment.

Because people don't understand that kinky can be fun, safe, sane and just plain exhilarating. Remember, people who condemn Gays, Swingers or Kinky people tend to be those with no imagination and/or probably believe sex is only a duty and not a pleasure. Don't be bothered by them, do as I do, pity them.

I don't descriminate against it...
I think people who descriminate it is when it goes "over the top" like cutting or pouring hot wax on your partner
