I was a paralegal for 6 1/2 years and now am a Mary Kay sales director and am able to be home with my two kids. It's $100 to start which gets you over $300 in retail size product to use or demo, supplies and training materials to get started. You choose whether you want to carry inventory or not.
Once you become a consultant you make 1/2 of everything you sell and starting out will average approx. $30/hr. There are no territories and most importantly no quotas so you can spend as much or little time as you choose to work your business. Then if you choose to recruit and build a team you are eligible to earn commissions based on wht your team orders from the company.
You can also earn a free car and the company will pay the lease payment, license, tax and registration fees and 87% of your car insurance OR you can tak the cash option and you'll receive a check in excess of $300 each month to spend as you choose.
It's a great business and very flexible which works awesome when you have a family to work around. Email me for more info if you'd like.

The best home business for me is EBay. First sell things that you have around the house thst you don't need but worth money. Once you sell most of those then start an EBay Store and get wholesales from the offical site that makes the product not like Salehoo or any of those spam sites. You don't need to sell too many things you should have at least 10 items depending on the price. Make sure your shipping fee is not too high and use a reliable shipper like UPS, USPS, or FedEx. Once you get it started it will run smoothly and easier. Good luck.

I work from home helping homeowners payoff their mortgage and other loans in less than half the time. You would be a great candidate for this since your background is a loan officer. It is a legitimate business, and a great program. I use the program my self for my own mortgage. Those who take an honest look at all the facts and figures from a reputable source will find that this system truly creates a significant advantage for homeowners. That is why I love working with this company, because I am truly helping others as I have been helped. E-mail me if interested. See bellow the website source for more information.

I'm a work at home mom with my own business - you can work as much or as little as you want and it is very lucrative and won't cost you a fortune to get started. Our network of business owners offers free support and training, you supply the effort. Simply go to http://vickie.balancedmom.com/ and fill in the form - the information is free and the decision is yours - we don't give you any hype and we won't try to sell you anything, I'll contact you to set up a time to bring you to an online conference room for our comprehensive live business overview - then you simply decide if this is something you can see yourself doing - it's not for everyone but without the info, how will you know?

I know of a business that I can heartily recommend, it is ideal for a stay at home mother. In fact I am at present showing a mother in Canada and one in Australia how they can get started.
The business does not involve you in buying or selling products.
Yahoo community guidelines prevent me from putting my web address here but if you click on my avatar and my 360 profile you will find my web site there. The site will give you an overview of the opportunity but make sure you click on your country's flag which can be accessed at the bottom of the page.
