Because most guys don't believe in never when it comes to girls. "Hopeless situation" isn't in our dictionary. Plus we love a challenge. When someone says never to us it just makes us want them more. And there's the fact that everyone, male or female, always wants most what they can't have.

Well that's how the girl will feel in the beginning, but as he keeps persistently trying he will eventually (80% possible) at some point get her.

I think its cuz guys think that any girl that seems to hard to get is just a challenge...actually making them even more tempting to pursue. lol. yeah i know guys do the strangest things sometimes, i dont think im ever gonna figure em out. :)
