Not at all. Here's something interesting. You can tell alot about how a fish swims and moves by looking at the shape of it's tail and it's body. It's pretty cool... check it out here near the bottom of the page:

no. Some fish's fins are located in differnet places than other. Some have bigger fins, so on and so forth. These factors make fish swim different.

Some fish use mainly their pectoral fins for propulsion, others use a combination of pectoral & caudal fins. The pelvic fins are mainly used for small adjustments.

No, look at different fish and you'll see they move differently.
