I installed McAfee security Center. Scottrade Elite will not run, despite opening 443, adding the IP address given and allowing elite full rights.
Anybody else have problem/solution?
Scottrade TS pointed to McAfee, McAfee points to Scottrade.
Any help appreciated

Yeah, each of them are taking the easy way out by pointing fingers. Typical, believe it or not.

In all honesty, I wouldn't use McFaee Security Center. It's really going to slow down any machine it's installed on. If you're running Windows XP or Vista, use the built-in Firewall. It does a very good job. For anti-virus, I suggest AVG by Grisoft (see direct below for free version). I've used them for years and they are extremely excellent.

Scottrade is correct. McAfee Security Center is the culprit. I've had at least half a dozen clients over the past year have conflicts with all kinds of application programs. Even when you open the proper ports and get all the "right" settings, half the time it still doesn't work. Hozing McAfee always solves the problem. So, who to blame? McAfee. They've got an overzealous product that doesn't "undo" the firewall, even when you tell it to.
