Was he perfect? No.
Was he a fantastic leader of the civil rights movement who peacefully inspired a nation to see the evil of oppressing its minorities? Absolutely.
If you really want to investigate fakes, try looking onto certain politicians who are claiming that Iraq had anything to do with 9-11 or that Iran is somehow responsible for sectarian violence in Iraq when its the Sunnis who asked people to not vote in the '05 elections!
By the way, he was a junior. Sort of hard to make that one up!

That sort of slander has been circulated by white racists ever since the 1960s. It's entirely false. And ridiculous--you'd think by now they'd have at least thought up some new lies. But whoever said racists had imagination or intelligence? :)

Cite your article, please?
Why, oh why, is it that theres never an end to trashing people? Why must everyone...no matter race or creed...look for a way to turn something rotten?
So what if his name was Michael...so what if he got freaky? Does that negate anything good he tried to do? Does it make him less human?
Leave be...
I was always taught, "if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all..." Seems good advice to me.

What article? The KKK Daily News? When you make charges like these it is critical and honest to give your sources. I am sure Dr. King, as with all of us, had his weaknesses and secrets. You "who is without sin (have) cast the first stone". I think he deserves no less, he was murdered for his activities.

Are you serious? I don't know where you got that but, MLK helped a lot of people. Blacks to get treated equally and whites to a) not be so ignorant and b) not to get their asses kick by the blacks.

If you're going to make big bald controversial statements like this, don't you think it would be a good idea to detail your sources ?
Otherwise this means nothing.
I could post a question saying "God - beardy white git says article. Discuss".

what is your source? you say an article says that, but where is your proof? is it a reliable source? i highly doubt that he was a fake, because he would not have grown to be so important otherwise; the person who originally made the speech would have.

SO WHAT!!! What he did for humanity is by far greater than what others opinion of him was/is. I suppose you would deny Bill Clinton his greatness because of his sins also.

We common folk call these things "lies", though there are many terms used by specialists, such as "garbage".
God bless.
