Is it really or fake? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140085524719 How can you tell?

I think it's fake. I almost got ripped off on ebay after buying a pair of what I though were authentic 35th anniversary adidas sneakers. I came to my senses after I read that they normally go for around 1000 dollars, there were only 5000 of this particular kind in the world, and the guy had sold 1000's of them on ebay, at around 200 dollars. I looked up an actual pair on an affliate adidas website and everything about them looked the same but the soles were slightly different. The average person wouldn't have even realized unless they had an original to compare them to. I was totally shocked! I cancelled the transaction with my bank before the money could be transferred.

The worst thing is that anyone can put "authentic" on their ebay auction (the sneaker seller had "authentic" written all over his auction and ebay store so silly me believed it!) and the things being sold may be knockoffs. Ebay does a very poor job of monitoring who is selling rip off items.

If the price seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Don't make a mistake and get this purse only to find out it is fake when you get it!

From the pictures it looks like a very good fake. I agree with the other people who answered. The leather imprint on the tag is off-center and crooked. The lining also looks suspect. At first glance though it would have fooled me too though. If you really want a Gucci bag buy it through an authorized store. You may end up with buyer's remorse over this so-called "gently used" handbag.

you cnt really tell in pictures, but usually the fake ones have darker leather or lighter leather depends upon the designers. And the texture will probably feel stiff and rough if it is fake. But what you should do is compare it side by side to the real thing then decide whether it is real or fake. Also the logo on a bag can tell if it is real or fake.

Considering a gucci bag is usually over $1000 and this does not look like a vintage bag, by any means. This is probably a fake hand bag. Buy it and risk seclusion from your peers. This goes for any handbag unless it carries a certification card and a id number for authenticity.

I would not chance it. According to a report that I saw on TV, something like 80% of purses sold on ebay are actully fake.
Maybe these will help:

http://reviews.ebay.com/Designer-Handbags-How-To-Tell-Whether-It-Is-Authentic_W0QQugidZ10000000000045876

But remember if you get the bag cheap enough and it fools you, then it will probably fool everyone else too.

Plus be careful of this "We list items as accurately as possible but are not experts on these goods. Therefore, we are not responsible for components, parts or accessories that are or are not included (or that you believe should be included) with a particular item. It is the responsibility of the bidder to inspect the photos and ask questions before bidding. "

It comes right from their ebay page

fake gucci bag for 99 bucks. the way you can tell is from the tags. you cant tell in the pics. you have to go to a store that sells them to get the real thing. i see people selling gucci stuff from vans on the side of the road they also sell fake nikes and timberlands.

Well.. a fairly reputable source says that it is authentic. The seller of this bag is a "sell your stuff on ebay" store - so I'm sure that they would not state that it is authentic when it really is not.

By the way.. you can tell if its authentic by the interior tag...

And.. it has 0 bids because it was just listed. Why not give them a call and have them confirm it truely is authentic.

It has the ID numbers on it, and the seller says it is gently used explaining why the cost is lower than usual. She has very good feedback, so you might be okay.

She may think is it real, and it may not be. You will be taking a chance by not buying it in a department store.

That bag is ABSOLUTELY NOT real... I own 2 of them. If you look closely at the "Gucci. Made in Italy tag" Look how sloppy the outlining of the leather is. Also it would be deeper inprinted. Look at Gucci.com and compare for yourself. Its not reall though. Be careful girl**

it probably is real, but used.
the serial numbers and indentions give away the authenticity
i would recommend visiting your nearby outlet stores and buy a Gucci at a discounted price, not used...
