My girldfriend is on birth control pills and there hasn't been a time that we did not use protection. Right now it has been 3 weeks and she hasn't had her period yet. Yesterday she was complaining that she had cramps off and on during the day. As of now she she spotting and has not had her period yet. She doesn't so any signs of pregnancy. Could she not even have her period and not be pregnant or is spotting is just in place of having her period? She has been under some recent stress in recent days and i feel that this maybe a common cause to late period. Also what is the longest amount of days a period will not come?

She could possibly have been pregnant and miscarried stress is a common cause to miscarriages as well, but yes it could be that she didn't have a full blown period because of her being stressed out. With her being on birth control she shouldn't be late with her period they usually come as scheduled with the pill....and once she missed her period if she continued taking her birth control pills, it definitely could have been a miscarriage b/c cause the pill can cause those too in some cases....

Are you using any back-up birth control besides the pill? The pill is not 100% effective. It is about 99% if used perfectly (no missed pills, taking it at the same time each day, etc). When was she do for her period? Is she 3 weeks late? If she is 3 weeks late then she must take a test. It is possible to skip periods or be very late due to stress, changes in diet, exercise, etc. But spotting could have also been implantation bleeding or spotting. So please have her take a test if she is 3 weeks pregnant just to be sure.

It sounds like it is prob stress! Spotting can take the place of a normal period when you are stressin! Good luck either way..

i'm getting that for the time of the previous and after my era. Your ovary hurts on one factor or the different each and each month via fact thats the factor that the egg is being dropped from. i'd call your well-being care provider in case your no longer having a era in any respect, yet whilst your basically having those indications like a week in the previous your era then it is totally ordinary
