It depends on your point of view. A ban would allow unelected UN officials the power to impose laws and rules opposed by those forced to suffer them, while insuring that those sent to enforce them would face no resistance. One world facisits fear a free and armed populace.

People wouldn't have guns. Criminals always will have guns, but if you carry a gun it makes it a LOT more likely that you will use it. The more guns there are, the more violent crime there is. If there was a ban on all firearms then anyone who carries one could instantly be arrested, perhaps before they've had the opportunity to use it for a crime. It would also make it a lot harder for criminals to come across them, as there would be a very limited supply for military/police use only.

none as long as shopping malls, grade schools, grocery stores, recreational areas, churches, gambling casions, and any other place that a lot of consumers hanfg out are all enclosed with bullet proof armored walls, with metal detectors at the entrances.
yes guns kills people like forks make you fat.... but you can't throw several forks a second in a semi automatic, or automatic burst making several people fat at once.
if crazies went on rampages on grade school grounds, and shopping malls only with forks, assault rifles wouldn't be anything to worry about.
don't get me wrong, i definitely want one of those new smith and wesson MP15 tactical models, but im not going to go shopping with it either.

The UN has not proposed that for the US. They above all know they are tolerated at best in the US,, but to go after our constitution would be a very stupid and ignorant move on their part. They aren't big enough, and quite frankly I don't know who is.

If they achieve it peacefully, they can enforce their anti-Zionist, anti-US policies against us without the threat of armed rebellion from angry populations that oppose their totalitarian agenda.
